Don’t worry, Be Happy

2022 recap…..

(1) I launched my art business!  I showcased my creative side.  For someone that has been in a corporate job or what feels like eternity, it was an uncomfortable feeling to put my personal side out for the world to see.  To put my art out for someone else’s judgement.  I had no idea if reception would be positive or lackluster.  I had to get out of my head and just try it to find out.

(2) 7 original paintings and many many prints SOLD!  Amazing!  People want to buy my art?   I always paint intuitively - just on how I feel in the moment.  So when someone else likes it - enough to buy it, it is a feeling beyond measure. I feel so grateful.

(3) I joined 100 female entrepreneurs at a Girl Tribe pop up event in Charlotte and showcased my art again.  Talk about putting myself out there and feeling the love and support!!

So, here comes my brain wanting to create all these to do lists around my art business for 2023.  SMH.  I had to STOP myself.   The reason I turn to art is to get out of my head, and get in my flow.  My flow is where time does not exist and I don’t need to have to do lists, or goals mapped out.  I can let go and just see what awaits.  There is something magical about no expectations, doing things that bring joy and seeing what blossoms from it.

I have this up on my wall in my house.  It’s a good reminder - Be in the moment, this moment is your life.

So scratch the New Years’ resolutions and just find some joy in your day…and keep repeating that for 365 days....and don’t worry - be happy!
